Made from a mash bill of 25% East Anglian malted barley and 75% rye, Adnams Rye Malt Whisky has been matured in new French oak for at least five years. Winner of the World Whiskies Awards, Best English Rye 2021, it has lovely aromas of warm vanilla, raisin fudge and black peppercorns with a smooth, rich, and spicy palate. Delicious on its own, or in any classic whisky cocktail.
How does it taste
On the nose you will find Christmas cakes candied fruit and spices, marzipan, vanilla, chocolate, and black peppercorns. On the palate, theres spicy rye bread, raisin fudge, honey, and hedgerow fruit. The finish is long, with notes of pepper, coffee, and a honeyed sweetness.
