The Opthimus 18 Years Cum Laude Rum comes from the Dominican Republic from the Rones del Caribe distillery in Punta Cana.

The individually numbered bottles and matured in the Solera process for 18 years in ex-bourbon barrels made of American white oak. This creates aromas of vanilla, honey and cocoa.

Fragrant, lush bouquet where fruit, oak and long aging complement perfectly.

It comes in an imposing mahogany color with dark red hues. Contemporary style with distinctive and vigorous character. The taste shows notes of toffee, cocoa, pepper and chocolate.
A wonderful and tasty spirit.

Tasting notes

Colour: Dark amber with red accents.
Nose: Sweet vanilla, honey and caramel. Then spicier with oak, cocoa and tobacco.
Taste: Sweet and soft on the tongue, tones of fruit, herbs, caramel, wood.
Finish: Long lasting and spicy sweet with vanilla, sweet oak and spices.
