La Certeza Reposado Tequila 40% Vol. 0,7l

Description

This Tequila Reposado from La Certeza matures for 11 months (!) in former bourbon barrels and in French limousine oak barrels. La Certeza’s tequilas are made by the traditional family business Beckmann, which also owns the Jose Cuervo and Tequila 1800 brands, from 100% locally grown blue Weber agave and distilled in small batches using pot stills.

The bottle looks like a 1950s liquor bottle or perhaps a perfume bottle with side panels similar to a Soviet rocket. It has a tasteful black label with blue lettering. The bottle stands out from the usual tequila bottles just because of its appearance.

Aroma and taste

• Aroma: delicate notes of citrus fruits accompanied by vanilla, butterscotch, cinnamon and grilled peppers
• Taste: light and with honeyed notes of citrus fruits, plus spicy notes of vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper
